Is there anyone in your life that can tell you the truth? I mean the real truth, the ugly or harsh truth that you really don’t want to hear?

Do you reject truth? Is it offensive to you? Have you cut people off because of it? Why is truth so hard to receive?

Well, truth can be uncomfortable. Truth can be messy. Truth is an offense to some. Truth is not popular and can go against popular opinion. Does that mean we should reject it? We shouldn’t because truth is critical. Truth is good. According to the bible, truth guides, protects, counsels, and is priceless. Truth is life.

In the bible Jesus says “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”. We need God and the only way to God is through His Son Jesus. There are many, many scriptures about truth. Take a look in your bible concordance and you’ll see God has a lot to say about truth.

I know we all want to be thought of us good, kind, smart, pleasant, but none of us are perfect. We make mistakes and that’s okay, but the only way we know we’ve made a mistake or have gotten off course is if we hear the truth. Receive the truth and treasure it. Let it illuminate the dark places in your life and bring about positive change.
