Godly Goal – Salvation
Changing your life takes real effort. It’s not as easy as everyone makes it seem. We have to take action. If we want to improve our physical or mental health, improve our spiritual and prayer life, improve our relationships, or improve our finances it’s possible, but it will take work on our part. We have to set goals for our lives and then follow through by taking steps toward accomplishing our goals.
Companies always have goals. Goals are set each year by the leaders of the company. For those who are part of the company, they set goals only after the leadership team shares their goals. And those goals are aligned with what the leaders are trying to accomplish.
If we want to improve our spiritual lives, shouldn’t we consider what God’s goals are for us and align our goals with His? In 1Tim 2:4 it says God “desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth”. If you are aligning yourself with God, then you then you need to be saved. Get to know what the Bible says about salvation. I’ve listed a few scriptures below:
John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:17 God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.
Romans 10:9-10 — “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.”
Acts 4:12 – There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved”
Romans 10:13 For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?
If you desire to be saved it’s time to take action. Say a prayer and ask God to lead you to a bible believing church who will teach you the truth of His word. If they are teaching the truth they will tell you about Jesus. You can hear the truth about Jesus, believe it in your heart, confess it with your mouth, and be saved. Congratulations if you’ve taken that step! Don’t stop there though, keep going to church, reading the Bible, and praying because God has more in store for you.
How will shine today?
